How I describe myself and the type of person I am interested in meeting:
I was raised a midwestern farm boy. I got my first horse when I was 16. I still enjoy the "mental therapy" they give me. My spare time is spent with my 5 year old quarter horse, Scooter, and my 18 year old grey mare Annie.

I'm a die hard "oldies" country music fan. Drive a pickup for work and pleasure. I like my blue jean and cowboy boot lifestyle, but know how to "git it all together" for the right occasion. I don't smoke,or chew. Hardly ever drink. I have no will power when it comes to buttered popcorn and Pepsi.

I've lived in Colorado for many years and still have 3 daughters here and 1 in Illinois. Since they are all out on their own,(I think they call this part "no baggage")I've come to the point in my life to be able to devote and share my time, my interests, and my love of horses and farm and ranch life, to that special gal that I'm still looking forward to meeting. I believe the greatest quality in a partner is honesty and being a good communicator.
With those everything else will fall into place.

As time permits, and chemistry starts to work, I look forward to the things that come natural, like trail riding, a spontaneous day trip, weekend camping with the horses and sitting around a campfire, or enjoying that out of the way, hole in the wall cafe, we call our favorite place. Or maybe an auction, watching the sun come up together, and swinging on the porch swing as the sun sets.

I am open to some day relocating to greener pastures, dusty trails, or where ever the smell of the farm and ranch strikes my fancy.

I do my "walk/trot" several times a week and hope that you are physically minded as well. I wake up each morning and see the glass "full" each day. A good attitude towards life is important along with the ability to bend without breaking.

And last but not least I'm a good listener and have strong shoulders for that favorite gal to lean on. Time to let the chips fall where they may.
