National Day of the Cowboy Posted: Jul 24, 2010 at 11:05 AM
Today is NATIONAL DAY OF THE COWBOY. Preserve our heritage. Thank you to all the working cowboys and cowgirls on ranches and feedlots across our great land for the preservation of our heritage. I am deeply grateful for the sacrifice you make. The long hours, harsh weather, poor conditions and the less than fair pay you recieve. I have done the work of the cowboy and appreciate the job you do.Thank you!

We celebrated Texas style, in the Fort Worth Stockyards. There were many events, demonstations and displays with live music and cowboy poetry throughout the day. It's a great event and getting bigger and better each year.
Then we headed out to the Stagecoach and danced the night away to Johnny Rodriquez with some friends and family. We even ran into a "stray" from the ES herd, and were glad they could join in the fun.
